The Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc. community deeply mourns the untimely passing of our beloved President, Desiderio N. Noveno, Jr., DM. Dr. Noveno has served the DMSFI family for a considerable number of years since 2014 when he became a member of the Board of Trustees representing the San Pedro College (a consortium member institution) until he was elected as the President of the DMSFI last year 2020. In his brief stint as a Foundation President, Dr. Noveno displayed a remarkable kind of leadership being an expert in organizational management and a bona fide academician. His aspirations for DMSFI lean toward the excellence of the Foundation not only in the three (3) HEI pillars of quality education: Curriculum and Instruction, Research, and Community Extension; but for all the DSMFI programs to become accredited in highly respected accrediting bodies. Throughout his leadership, he gave his energy, commitment and inspiration to the Foundation and to the people whom he worked with. By his death, all the people who knew him will miss a highly intelligent and vibrant individual. We hereby express our outmost gratitude for his dedicated service to the institution and pursuit for an excellent education.
