Last May 11, 2022, Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Aldrin Darilag, Ph.D. made an ocular visit at the Davao Medical School Foundation Inc. to check on its newly built state-of-the-art Medical Museum and Simulation Center, a first of its kind here in the Philippines. Dr. Oliver G. Victoriano, DMSFI COO, and Dr. Erwin Rommel Hontiveros, Dean of the College of Medicine, spearheaded the tour in the said facility. Dr. Darilag expressed his commendation to DMSFI on his official Facebook® account.
The two floors of the 3-storey facility will be dedicated to the said museum. The third floor will be named Medical Museum 1, which will showcase Anatomy (Neuro-Anatomy, Oral Anatomy, etc.) whereas the second floor will be named Medical Museum 2, which will showcase Gross and Microscopic Anatomy (Normal and Pathological, Microbiology, and Parasitology) of all organ system.
The two museums will be used for teaching and learning, part of DMSFI’s mission of leading the way to deliver quality education and producing top-notch medical practitioners and allied health practitioners serving the greater population in Mindanao.
