Welcome to the Midwifery Admission homepage of Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc.
We are pleased to inform you that College of Midwifery are now ready to accept applicants to our Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program for the 1st semester AY 2023-2024.

Bachelor of Science in Midwifery is a four-year ladderized degree program consisting of general education and professional courses which prepare registered midwives for higher level midwifery competencies. The program includes Clinical Practicum in Management of OB Emergencies and High Risk Pregnancies, Care of Infants and Children, Comprehensive Family Planning, Community Health Service Management, Community Health Care Facility Management, Midwifery Pharmacology, Research, Entrepreneurship, Administration and Supervision. Students of the program may select from any of the following Midwifery Majors: Education, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Administration and Supervision or Health Care Facility Management.

Admission Process

Step 1:

As an agreement with the guidelines laid by the IATP-EID regarding precautionary measures especially on physical distancing, you are hereby requested to submit the following scanned documents such as:

Form 138 (high school card) or its equivalent

N

A letter of recommendation from High School Guidance Counselor or Principal attesting the applicant’s good moral character

N

Copy of original birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

In addition, the freshmen applicants for BSN, DMP and incoming third year BSM applicants MUST take the entrance examination by appointment from the Guidance office of the school. After passing the entrance examination, applicants will submit for an interview via phone call or online platforms. Once accepted, a letter of acceptance will be issued via email.

Apply advanced professional midwifery practice in the care of woman prior to, during, and after pregnancy;

Practice midwifery in accordance with standards of practice, existing laws and legislations, ethics and moral principles;

Maintain complete, accurate and timely documentation of client care with the aid of information and communication technology;
