The Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc. (DMSFI), through its College of Biology, and Lifebank Foundation, Inc. (LBFI)–Sicao Project Team formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for biodiversity research and scientific documentation in the forests of Mount Talomo, within the Bagobo-Klata Ancestral Domain in Sitio Sicao, Barangay Tamayong, Davao City.
The collaboration will generate baseline ecological information to support biodiversity conservation, long-term ecological monitoring, watershed management, and climate resilience. It also aims to inform protected area management, Indigenous Peoples’ resource management, and sustainable community-based ecotourism and expansion to public health.
Through this partnership, DMSFI and LBFI bring science and community-centered conservation together to help sustain Mount Talomo’s forests for future generations.
